Am I missing something? Is this any different than what already happens with annual VED rises, and we always seem to get a clickbait 'story' in the papers claiming the government is screwing us even more by backdating/extending the affected registrations.
As far as I can tell, there's be no change to the registration dates affected (i.e. always been 01-Mar-2001 to 31-Mar-2017, not forgetting those sneaky Z4Ms that were registered before 23 March 2006 who got the lower rate).
My Z4MC is a late 2006 model and was £735 in 2024...£695 in 2023...and £440 when I bought it in late 2008.
